Summation of the chapter: Stephen is drunk. Bloom takes him to a cabman’s shelter. There is a drunk sailor there who goes on a bit. Bloom feels kind of flattered to be in Stephen’s company. Since there’s nowhere else for him to go, he decides to take him home. The end.*

*That is, the end of the chapter, not the novel, sadly. Even more sadly, I found the book of notes which I had lost but the librarian says the book is damaged and I must still pay a fine. Hmph. Well, at least I didn’t buy the book.
